About the Author

Caroline Langerman graduated from UNC Chapel Hill and has an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from The New School. Her essays have been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Glamour, Salon, ELLE, and Town & Country. In 2024, she won the Lit/South Award for Creative Nonfiction and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She lives in Charlotte, NC, with her husband and three children, where she teaches writing and is working on her first novel.
